Ignorance of Wires was the second piece in my portfolio, and I think it's my favorite. The focus of this piece was the perspective and the hands, which you can see in two detailed shots. I love the backpack the most, and I think I spent the most time on that and the jacket. I love rendering anything with fabric! The message behind this was to highlight ignorance, as seen by the untangling of wired headphones while the Bluetooth ones are wrapped around my neck. In the casual everyday setting of a car, the slight oversight seems to be casual, but it becomes more ridiculous when you analyze it. Why is she wasting the time to untangle her headphones when her Bluetooth ones are around her neck? What's the purpose of it? The casual questions that many people would think to overlook are displayed here, much like the overlooked overconsumption and focus on "trends" within society. With the Airpods' introduction, wired headphones suddenly became seen as "aesthetic" and trendy. This piece was a slightly ironic portrayal of the constantly changing consumption trends, or what is deemed as acceptable within society.
